What You'll Do
As a Greeter, you are the first point of contact for members and visitors. You will welcome people warmly at the door, hand out name tags, invite visitors to sign the guest journal, record attendance (including Zoom), and help seat latecomers. Your presence ensures that everyone feels comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Time Commitment
Arrive about 15 minutes before service. Serve on a rotating basis so no one is scheduled weekly.
Skills Needed
Friendly, attentive, good with names/faces, and comfortable engaging briefly with a wide variety of people.
Training & Support
Short orientation with an SSC member; optional Welcoming Congregation training. A “cheat sheet” of info is provided, and you may shadow another greeter first.
Impact / Why Volunteer?
Your warm presence creates a consistent culture of hospitality, makes newcomers feel at home, and ensures UUCF gathers important info to support future follow-up.
