3.3 Updating Your Financial Pledge Amount

Updating Your Financial Pledge Amount

You may update your pledge amount at any time during the fiscal year. There are two navigation paths to reach the tools for updating your pledge and automatic giving.

Option 1: Update via “My Pledge”

  • Click Hi {First}
  • Select My Pledge
  • Click the blue Manage my gifts button
  • Choose one of the following:

Update Giving

Use this option to change the amount of your recurring weekly or monthly gifts. The updated amount will take effect at your next automatic payment.

Update Payment Details

Use this option to:

  • Change your credit or debit card
  • Change your bank account
  • Cancel automatic giving

Option 2: Update via “Manage My Donations”

  • Click Hi {First}
  • Select Manage My Donations
  • Choose Update Giving or Update Payment Details

This path takes you to the same screen used in the My Pledge flow for managing your recurring gifts and payment details.

What Happens When You Update Your Pledge Amount

If You Use Autopay

  • Your new recurring amount will appear immediately in your portal
  • The updated amount will be charged starting with your next scheduled gift
  • The next payment date will always reflect your upcoming automatic gift based on your existing weekly or monthly cadence
  • In some cases, you may be asked to quickly reconfirm automatic payments for security reasons

If You Use In-Person (Cash, Check, Zelle)

  • Your pledge amount is updated right away
  • You may switch from in-person giving to automatic weekly or monthly gifts at any time from My Pledge → Manage my gifts

One-Time Gifts Always Count

Members can make one-time online gifts at any time. These gifts always apply toward your annual pledge fulfillment, unless they are specifically designated for a special fund.

You can make a one-time gift from the Manage My Giving → Make a one-time gift tab.

Emails After Each Automatic Gift

After every successful automatic weekly or monthly gift, you will receive:

  • A receipt email from Stripe
  • A thank-you email from UUCF

Each automatic payment is also recorded under Donation History in the portal.

Donation History

From the tabs at the top of the Manage My Giving page, you can view your donation history, including:

  • Each automatic gift
  • In-person gifts (Cash, Check, Zelle)
  • One-time online gifts
  • Receipt links for online gifts
