Directory Sharing & Privacy Settings
The Member Directory helps UUCF Members stay connected with one another while also protecting everyone's privacy. Participation in the directory is entirely optional, and you may change your preference at any time.
Members: Directory Options
Members may choose whether to appear in the Member Directory. If you opt in, other Members will see:
- Your name
- Your pronouns (if you choose to share them)
- Your email address
- Your phone number, but only if you check the option to share it
No other contact details — and no financial information — appear in the directory.
Required Agreement: Responsible Use Only
Because the directory contains personal contact information, it may only be used for UUCF-related purposes. When a Member opts into the directory, they must agree to the following policy:
“I agree to use the Member Directory only for UUCF-related communication and to never share directory information outside the UUCF community. I understand that misuse of this information may result in my directory access being revoked.”
This agreement helps ensure privacy, consent, and a safe community environment.
Friends: Directory Access
Friends do not appear in the directory and do not have access to view the directory. Only Members can opt in or out of directory visibility.
Who Can See What
Treasurer
- Sees all financial pledges, gifts, and Stripe metadata
- Sees Member and Friend contact information
Staff, Board Members, and Committee Chairs
- See contact information
- See Time & Talent commitments
- Do not see any financial information
Members
- See the Member Directory only if they have opted in
- See only the details other Members choose to share
- Never see financial information
Friends
- Do not appear in the directory
- Cannot view the directory
Changing Your Directory Preferences
You can update your directory settings at any time:
- Go to Hi {First} → My Information
- Scroll to the directory section
- Toggle Share my information in the Member Directory
- Check or uncheck phone number sharing (optional)
- Save your changes
Updates take effect immediately. If you ever have questions or concerns about how directory information is used, please reach out to UUCF leadership.
